August 7 ~ 9, B~STEM Project in partnership with Tyra Beauty, Kastner & Partners and The Rose Group presents bCreative. The immersive 3-day bootcamp gives students a hands-on experience and invaluable insight into the advertising industry. High school girls will have a rare opportunity to create original Tyra Beauty advertisements for social platforms. The curriculum will require students to research and understand their client, navigate through the creative process, develop strategies, produce content and pitch their concepts. It’s all about beauty, branding & creativity!
Students from across Los Angeles collaborate in teams as well as work alongside industry professionals who serve as mentors. The program is a dynamic platform that fosters diversity of thought, creativity and innovation. Peer to peer mentoring, allows students from varying backgrounds to engage, learn and grow together. Whether they have previous experience or none at all – students work together to brainstorm ideas and strategize. The teams with the best client ad, has a real opportunity to collaborate with Tyra Beauty. The program works to cultivate both hard and soft skills that are essential for today’s workforce.
B~STEM is always exploring innovative and exciting ways to engage emerging talent in STEM disciplines across industries. The organization’s primary goal is to provide free interactive educational programming for young girls and women. Secondarily, through partnerships offers an extension of holistic programming for both boys and girls. B~STEM takes a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to STEM instruction. The goal is to open up a gateway of unlimited possibilities.
